Privacy Policy for Seaside Branding
1. Data Controllership and Scope Seaside Branding, including its managed projects such as zoomin-filmfest.com, acts as the Data Controller for all personal information collected through its digital platforms and onsite activations. We are committed to processing data lawfully, fairly, and transparently, adhering to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other global standards based on the residency of the data subject. This policy applies to all clients, event attendees, filmmakers, and vendors involved in our large-scale public experiences.
2. Categories of Data Collected We collect only the information strictly necessary to bring event ideas to reality and facilitate participant engagement.
Registration & Logistics: Full names, professional titles, email addresses, and phone numbers for ticketing and booking; mailing addresses for physical material delivery; and payment information for contract settlement.
Sensitive Information: Data regarding health, disabilities, or dietary requirements (e.g., for ADA compliance) is collected only with explicit consent.
Digital & Media Data: Film files, headshots, social media handles, and visual recordings (photos/video) captured during live spectacles.
Technical Identifiers: IP addresses, browser types, and cookie data collected through site interactions and security tools like Google reCAPTCHA.
3. Legal Bases for Processing Our processing activities are grounded in the following legal justifications:
Performance of a Contract: Necessary for delivering tickets or managing film submissions.
Compliance with Legal Obligations: Required for tax, safety, and regulatory reporting.
Legitimate Interests: Used for website security, service improvement, and event promotion, provided these do not override your fundamental rights.
Explicit Consent: Required for marketing communications, non-essential cookies, and sensitive health data.
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Processors We do not sell your personal data. Information is shared only with contractually bound “Data Processors” through Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) to ensure your information is protected. These processors include:
Ticketing and registration platforms.
Secure payment gateways (e.g., for transactions in Romanian Lei (RON)).
Cloud storage and email service providers.
Event partners or sponsors, but only with your explicit opt-in consent.
5. Your Rights and Global Compliance Regardless of residency, Seaside Branding grants all users the right to access, correct, or delete their personal data. We guarantee a response to such requests within 30 days.
EU/UK Residents: You have the “Right to be Forgotten” and may lodge complaints with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority (ANSPDCP).
California Residents: We provide a specific “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” mechanism as required by the CPRA.
6. Cookies and Automated Technologies Our site uses cookies to support basic functionality, analyze traffic, and personalize experiences.
Strictly Necessary Cookies: Essential for site operation and cannot be switched off.
Marketing & Analytics: We require your permission via a cookie banner for these non-essential technologies.
Third-Party Tools: We utilize Google reCAPTCHA to verify human interaction, which subjects users to Google’s own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
7. Data Retention and Security We implement industry-standard encryption and organizational safeguards to protect your data. Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for event purposes—typically six to twelve months post-event—before being securely destroyed or anonymized.
8. Event Media and Crowd Release Large-scale spectacles are inherently visual. Entry into Seaside Branding event premises constitutes informed consent to be photographed or filmed for promotional use in any and all media in perpetuity. Crowd Release Notices will be prominently posted at eye level at all venue entrances to ensure attendees are aware of filming in progress. Primary participants (speakers, featured filmmakers) will be required to sign separate, individual Model/Appearance Releases.
9. Contact and Updates We may update this policy to reflect emerging technologies or regulatory changes. For inquiries regarding your data, please contact Seaside Branding at contact@seasidebranding.com
